Approach to Thyroid Nodules
Thyroid nodules are very common, and most are benign. However, for nodules with suspicious ultrasound findings, a Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy is the gold standard for determining cancer risk. Surgery is inevitable for nodules with suspicious biopsy results, rapid growth, or those causing pressure on the windpipe.
Safe Surgery with Nerve Monitoring
The biggest fear in thyroid surgeries is losing the voice, as the vocal cord nerves pass right under the thyroid gland. In our clinic, we use "Neuromonitoring" technology to electrically track these nerves during surgery, reducing the risk of hoarseness to under 1%.
